Funeral services for Ann Looper, 79, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Akins Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Looper was born on March 9, 1946, in Seven Oaks, to Ada Maudene Parsons Watts and Charley Dale Watts. She died on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025.
She married Paul E. Looper on Aug. 6, 1965, in Akins. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2018.
She dedicated her career to the District Attorney’s office in the Child Support Enforcement Division. She enjoying camping, fishing, and all things red. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sallisaw.
Survivors are three daughters, Heather Bailey and Jarrett of Sallisaw, Crystal and Lance Colburn of Checotah, and Sarah Giansante and Junior of Hudson, Mass.; eight grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; sister, Barbara Sue Hunt and James of Sallisaw; brother, Edward D. Watts and Sharon of Sallisaw; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alta Kay Parsons; and brother, Bobby Joe Watts.
Pallbearers were Caden Bailey, Kylan Bailey, Keifer Bailey, Jarrett Bailey, Lance Colburn, Brandon Shockey and Christian Sizemore.
Honorary pallbearers were James Hunt, Glen Dale Woody, David Woody, Olen Carson, Ronnie Martin, and the Iris Evans Sunday School Class.
