A Muldrow man was hospitalized on September 19 after crashing his vehicle off Interstate-40, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 7:36 a.m. near Vian at mile marker 296.5. Troopers said 33-yearold Nathan Jones of Muldrow was driving westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the wet roadway.
Jones’ vehicle left the interstate to the left, went down an embankment and struck a tree head-on.
He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was injured, though the extent of his injuries was not immediately released. No other passengers were in the vehicle.
OHP Trooper Spencer Schmille of Troop C investigated the wreck, with assistance from Sgt. Holloway. The crash remains under investigation.
