CAMERON — The Class A high school fast-pitch softball playoffs came to an abrupt end for the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors on Thursday as they lost twice to see their season come to an end at the Class A District Tournament as they lost their first game 19-1 in three innings to Arkansas River rival Gore, then were eliminated from postseason play by district-host Cameron 11–0.
The Lady Warriors ended the season at 3-12.
In the loss to Gore, the Lady Pirates scored nine runs in the first inning for a 9-0 lead. After the Warriors scored their lone run in the second inning on a Gore error, the Lady Pirates scored 10 runs in their half of the frame to put the game into run-rule status.
The Lady Warriors only got two hits off Gore starting pitcher Alevia Reasnor, who fanned seven batters in three innings.
In defeat, Katie Frazier doubled and Shkyra Scrubbs singled for Webbers Falls. Rhilee Jones suffered the loss.
In the season-ending loss to Cameron, the Lady Yellowjackets got a two-hitter from pitcher Greenlee French, who struck out five batters in four innings.
The Lady ’Jackets scored three runs in the first inning, twice in the second inning and six runs in the third inning to put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Jones and Lextyn Chappell each singled for the only hits for Webbers Falls. Jones took the loss.
