Officers of the Vian FFA chapter participated in the 2025 Oklahoma FFA (chapter) Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference at the Glenpool Conference Center in Glenpool.
The eight state FFA officers planned and conducted this year’s conference, which was centered around the theme “On Target: Take Aim.” The training focused on anticipatory leadership, encouraging officers to prepare, plan ahead, and act with intention in their leadership roles. Elected officers from each of the 92 high school FFA chapters in the Northeast area attended the conference.
Kelly Barnes, from Edmond, served as the keynote speaker for the conference. Barnes, a former state FFA president, is an accomplished leadership coach and professional speaker. He recently became Executive Director of Tulakogee, a youth camp in Wagoner, operated by the Oklahoma FFA Alumni Association.
Officers attending from the Vian FFA Chapter were Halli Russell, Vian FFA President; Tressa Sandlin, Vian FFA Vice President; Bella King Vian FFA Secretary; Gabe Wilson, Vian FFA Treasurer; Brynn Barnoskie Vian FFA Reporter; and Max Ross, Vian FFA Sentinel. The Vian FFA Chapter is advised by Trent and Charlotte Trotter.
