Vian’s Board of Trustees met on September 15, approving a full slate of community events, financial measures and agreements while tabling one ongoing project.
The board once again tabled action on the Vian Youth League project, which was also left unresolved at the August 18 meeting.
Trustees did move forward with a proclamation declaring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a measure that passed unanimously.
Several upcoming community events also received approval, including:
• Annual Burn Out set for Saturday, Nov. 8.
• The Vian Lions Club’s 47th annual Christmas Parade of Lights, set for Thursday, Dec. 4.
• Downtown in December, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
