The Sequoyah County Health Department is pleased to announce the upcoming Sequoyah County Community Baby Shower, which will take place at 10 a.m. on Oct. 11 at the Wheeler Event Center, 103 N. Wheeler Ave., Sallisaw.
The no-cost baby shower is open to all Sequoyah County families from 10 a.m. to noon, and will include a resource and health education fair, games, activities and giveaway sign-ups. After the shower, the fun will continue at the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library from 1:30 to 2 p.m. to draw for giveaway winners.
“We are so proud and excited to offer families throughout Sequoyah County support and resources in their new chapter of parenthood,” Kassandra Briggs, Health Educator, said. “Many were able to experience and enjoy last year’s Baby/Toddler Fair at the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library. Because of last year’s success, we’re blessed to do it again in a bigger space, utilizing the City of Sallisaw’s Wheeler Event Center.”
The Sequoyah County Health Department is honored to work alongside several community partners to bring the baby shower to local families. If your organization would like to participate, or if you would like to learn more about the event, contact Melodie Dobson at 918-7756201.
