Two people were injured Friday evening when the vehicle they were in left the roadway and rolled along I-40, according to a report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred at 7:32 p.m. at mile marker 268 on eastbound I-40 in McIntosh County.
According to the report, a 2020s-model vehicle driven by Chloe Barnes, 20, of Gore, was traveling east when Barnes became distracted by her passenger. The vehicle departed the roadway to the right, rolled and came to rest on a fence.
Both Barnes and her passenger were injured in the crash. Troopers confirmed that both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Logan Shimp of Troop C, with assistance from local emergency personnel.
