Local runners compete, medal in Checotah Crossroads Classic

CHECOTAH — Several local high school and middle school cross country runners competed at the Checotah Crossroads Classic, which took place Oct. 7.

In the high school girls’ division, Central’s Sara Williams was runner- up with a time of 12:50 to earn a medal.

In team standings in the high school girls’ division, Central was third with 85 points.

As for other high school girls runners, Central’s Sadie Huff was 17th (14:26), Central’s Cambree Bair was 26th (14:52), Central’s Paris Campbell was 27th (14:54), Central’s Scarlett Harrison was 47th (15:33), Gore’s Amelia White was 48th (15:35), Central’s Xhayla Mosby was 49th (15:36), Gore’s Rayleigh Moore was 92nd (17:40), Gore’s Gracie Bruce was 111th (19:02), Gore’s Avery Hoog was 120th (20:06) and Webbers Falls runner Katie Frazier was 133rd (23:29).

In the high school boys’ division, Gore’s Clayton White was 132nd (27:09).

In the junior high girls’ division, Gore’s Taylor Kinion was eighth (7:10) to earn a medal.

As for other junior high girls runners, Central’s Scotti Wilson was 21st (7:42), Central’s Bryar Goodson was 30th (8:00), Webbers Falls runner Kaiyah Scruggs was 45th (8:21), Gore’s Kimberlynn Quick was 61st (8:42), Central’s Olivia Blalock was 68th (8:49), Webbers Falls runner Haven Chapman was 89th (9:32) and Webbers Falls runner Madalun Beknap was 95th (9:44).

In the junior high boys’ race, the Gore Pirates were 10th (223 points).

One local runner earned a medal as Central’s Caden Bair was fourth (6:35).

As for other local JH boys runners, Gore’s Bryson Franco was 28th (7:00), Gore’s Jayse Boyd was 42nd (7:18), Gore’s Isaac McGrew was 53rd (7:35), Central’s Daxton Moldrup was 56th (7:37), Central’s Zander Moldrup was 86th (8:02), Gore’s Quinn Montgomery was 89th (8:06), Central’s Koleman Edwards was 110th (8:31), Webbers Falls runner Kacen Shamblin was 117th (8:35) and Gore’s Cale Cox was 132nd (8:54).
