OKLAHOMA CITY — For the first time in greater than two decades, when Central cross country coach Courtney Bair and her teammate qualified for state, the Lady Tigers cross country team qualified for this Saturday’s Class 2A State Meet, which will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at North Rock Creek High School, located north of Shawnee.
At last Saturday’s Class 2A Regional Meet at Heritage Hall High School, the Lady Tigers were runners-up with 101 points, finishing a distant second to Oklahoma Union, which scored 24 points.
Sara Williams was the overall fourth-place finisher with a time of 12:53.
Sadie Huff was 17th (14:13), Paris Campbell — one of two Central state qualifiers last fall — was 18th (14:19), Cambree Bair — Central’s other state qualifier in 2024 — was 25th (14:34), Xhayla Mosby was 55th (15:46) and Scarlett Harrison was 56th (15:48).
