Funeral services for Rosemary (Moore) Ford, 80, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Ford was born on April 17, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Hattie Ream (Gilbert) Moore and Horace Adair Moore. She passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025.
She was a 1963 graduate of Sallisaw High School and continued her education at Oklahoma City University and Northeastern State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She went on to complete her Master’s in Education at Oklahoma State University. She retired from Sallisaw Public Schools. She also contributed her talents to Farmland Industries, Elias Law Firm, and The Law Firm of Jim Jones in Sallisaw.
She married Charles Tillmon Ford on Sept. 9, 2000, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
Survivors are her husband, Charles; daughter, Leilani Fullbright and husband Mike of Sallisaw; two grandchildren; step-daughters, Jonie Shaw and husband Terry of Healdton and Tracie Nichols and husband Matt of Knoxville, Ark.; four step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-grandchild, Nick.
Pallbearers were Mike Fullbright, Matthew Fullbright, Brent Dressler, Chris Creekmoore and Ronnie Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sequoyah County Animal Advocates, Barking for a Cause Animal Rescue, or a local school backpack programs.
