Graveside services for Johnny Bird, 82, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Bird was born on Oct. 9, 1943, in Tahlequah to Jim Bird and Nancy (Pettit) Bird. He died on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, in Sallisaw.

He was a furniture upholsterer.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Bird and Rebecca Nofire of Muldrow; two grandchildren; two sisters, Eliza Stroup of Sallisaw and Polly Poe of Comanche; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Juanita Adams; and four brothers, Charlie, Tuth, Bill and Robert Bird.
