Funeral services for Ed Watts, 80, of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Peters Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Watts was born on Dec. 15, 1944, in Seven Oaks to Dale Watts and Ada Maudene (Parsons) Watts. He died on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a former heavy equipment operator for Sequoyah County District 3.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Moore) Watts of the home; daughter, Debra James of Sallisaw; sons, John Beasley of Cunningham, Ky., Doug Bethel of Vian and Scott Bethel, Nathan Beasley and Jason Bethel, all of Sallisaw; two sisters, Barbara Hunt of Sallisaw and Dale L. Vaughn of Midway, Tenn.; son-in-law, Mike Smoke of Sallisaw; 19 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda (Rhoades) Watts; daughter, Julie Smoke; his parents; brother, Bobby Joe Watts; and two sisters, Alta Kay Parsons and Ann Looper.
