Jimmy Ray Bonds, 80, of Vian, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Shirley Mae (Cook) Bonds and George Lewis Bonds.
He was a graduate of Roland High School, and earned his Associate Degree attending Carl Albert State College and OSU. He was co-owner of Bi-State Electric, becoming an Oklahoma State Electrical Inspector in 1982. In 2000, he became President of IAEI (International Association of Electrical Inspectors). He retired as Supervising Inspector for the state in 2006. He enjoyed golfing and mowing. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Muldrow and Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jamie; son, Jeffrey Ray Bonds of Muldrow; brother, Mike Bonds of Liberty; sister, Judy Tate of Muldrow; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; son, Jason Randall Bonds; and sister, Barbara Fletcher.
A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date.
