Funeral services for Linda Ruth (Lane) Swimmer, 77, of Gore, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gore, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Services, Inc.
Ms. Swimmer was born on Sept. 8, 1948, in Quanah, Texas. She passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.
She worked as a housekeeper for Fin & Feather Resort, and at Greenleaf Nursery. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors are three sisters, Jeana Laymon and Chris, Donna K. Lane and Susan Lane, all of Gore; two brothers, Richard Lane and Sandra and Townsil Lane and Donna D., all of Gore; sister-in-law, Andrea Lane of Gore; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Lee Swimmer, Jr.; her parents; one sister and brotherin- law, Sharon and James Swimmer; three brothers, Karry M. Lane, Jimmy J. Lane and Arthur “Mickey” Lane; two nieces, Meghan Lane and Kathy Laymon; and her grandparents, Arthur Grove Lane, Ellen Mae (Hubler) Lane, Joe Smith Marshall, and Carrie Ethel (Cole) Lane.
Pallbearers were Richard Lane, Jr., Jacum Lane, Joe Lane, Jeremy Lane, Harlon Mannon, Caliber Mannon and Casey Laymon.
Honorary pallbearers were Eric Laymon, Jake Laymon, Jimmy Swimmer, Marshall Lane, Israel Lane and Steven Kelly.
