Political candidates to attend county Democrats yule dinner

Not only is it the holiday season, but it’s also the political season.

So when the Sequoyah County Democrats host their traditional Christmas dinner on December 1, there could well be several political office-seekers on hand.

Senator Mark Mann has been tabbed as the special guest speaker for the evening, but other politicians expected to attend and offer remarks include Rep. Cyndi Munson, Democratic minority leader for the House of Representatives and gubernatorial candidate, and Troy Green, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, as well as possibly other candidates who may attend the yuletide dinner.

Munson was the special guest speaker at the dinner in 2023.

The Christmas dinner is at 6:30 p.m. December 1 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds, 464101 E. 1070 Road, in Sallisaw.

Tickets are $20 each or a table of 8 for $140. Tickets are available at the door.
