Oct. 22, 1941 – Dec. 1, 2025

Funeral services for Sue Mott, 84, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian. Burial followed at Iron Bridge Cemetery in Keota, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Mott was born on Oct. 22, 1941, in Keota, to Emma Gean (Wallace) Short and Carl Short. She passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, in Sallisaw.

She married Dail Mott on June 4, 1958, in Stigler. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2020.

She worked as a bookkeeper, was an active member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and served as treasurer of the Sallisaw Senior Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Zuendel of Sallisaw; son, Christopher Mott of Spiro; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bobby Short and wife Sandra of Kibler, Ark., and Jerry Short and wife Debbie of Magazine, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Christina Mott; and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Larry Mott; two sisters, Rudean Radebaugh and JoAnn Sloan; and three brothers, Carlos, Shirley and Rickey Short.

Pallbearers were Regan Freeman, Wes Lashley, Keith Swafford, Tommy Coleman, Ben Spyres and Gideon Spyres.
