Gore Public Schools Board of Education moved through a full agenda on November 10, approving financial items, hearing updates on an ongoing elementary bond project and voting to provide stipends to all full-time district employees.
To begin the meeting, the board unanimously approved a series of encumbrances for both the General Fund (Purchase Orders 181–196) and the Building Fund (Purchase Orders 13–18).
One of the key discussions of the evening centered on the district’s elementary bond project, with presentations from CWA Architects and Beshears Construction Management. While no formal action was taken, board members reviewed updates and asked questions about project progress.
Superintendent Nick Humphries delivered his monthly report, followed by principal updates from Amanda Andrews and Tonya Pugh.
In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignation of Zane Rose, with all members voting in favor.
The board also approved a significant financial step for the district, voting to replace temporary appropriations with the official Estimate of Needs for the 2025–26 school year, as endorsed by the Sequoyah County Excise Board.
Members approved a $250 professional development stipend for all full-time employees. The board also adopted the updated Wellness Policy (CN) and the district’s Virtual Plan for the 2026–27 school year. Consent agenda items A–G were approved unanimously.
