Funeral services for Mary E (Brewer) Sallee, 88, of Sallisaw, were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Agent Mallory- Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory- Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sallee was born on July 28, 1937, in Sallisaw to James Ira Brewer and Vena Irene (Ogden) Brewer. She died on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, in Lindale, Texas.
She was known for her sharp wit, sense of humor and her homemade chocolate gravy.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Briggs, of Shirley, Ark.; three sons, Jimmy and Carla Sallee and Ronny and Shari Sallee, all of Tyler, Texas and Billy and Donna Sallee of Longview, Texas; one sister, Thelma Copeland of Sallisaw; 13 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Carl Sallee; and two grandchildren.
