Funeral services for Richard Lease, 38, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian. Burial followed at Box Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Lease was born on April 18, 1987, in Glendale, Calif., and passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
He was baptized at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian and also attended Mixon Baptist Church in Booneville, Ark. He was a skilled and hardworking contractor who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
He was the son of Jason Lease and Lori Rich, and stepson to Toni Evans and Beth Lease. He was a brother to Colton Lease, Katelynn Russell, Mykala Rich and fiancé, Anthony Rutjes, and Chance Rich; stepsister, Keri Guardiola; and stepbrothers, Lane Young and Chris Young.
He was a loving and devoted father to Adrianna Chene, Brooklyn Holst, Logan Lease and Harley Lease.
He is also survived by his grandfather, Paul Lease; fiancée, Kelsey Beaty; four aunts, Sally Thompson-Poillot, Margie Falls, Judy Poillot and Meiske Capelle; uncle, Pierre Poillot; mother of his children and former wife, Nicole Lease; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Logan Lease, Chance Rich, Colton Lease, Danny Tieszen, Erick Coury and Dustin Kelly.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Lease and Harley Lease.
