One local high school football player will get to play one more high school game in his prep career.
Vian Wolverines defensive back Masyn Wright was named to the 2026 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State East Team on Wednesday.
Wright and the East All-Staters will play the West All-Staters on July 30 at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Chad Richison Stadium.
Vian defensive back Draighton Fletcher and Central running back Ryker Miller were named All-Stars by Class, making them an All-State alternate should any East All-State Team member not be able to play in the July 30 contest.
Wright was named District 2AII-4 Most Valuable Player, while Fletcher was named the district’s Running Back for the Year.
Miller was the Running Back of the Year in District AII-3.
The Wolverines went 12-2 and made it to the Class 2A, Division II state championship game for the second straight season — where they lost 34-29 to Adair — while the Tigers were 6-4.
