Last week, the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) announced the new high school football classifications for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
There was a big change for the Vian Wolverines.
After playing in each of the last two Class 2A, Division II state title games, the Wolverines ended up dropping to Class A, Division I for the 2026 and 2027 football seasons.
The good news for the other local teams is that their classifications did not change.
The Gore Pirates and the Central Tigers will still be in Class A, Division II and the Webbers Falls Warriors will still be in Class B, Division II.
As of press time, each team’s new district alignment for the next two seasons had not been announced yet by the OSSAA.
