Gore powerlifters place at Chandler Invitational

CHANDLER — Five members of the Gore High School powerlifting teams placed at last Wednesday’s Chandler Invitational.

Devon Mannon was the 168-pound champion in the small school division with a total of 985 pounds lifted, while Marcus Scott was third at 220 pounds.

In the small-school girls division, Amelia White was third at 123 pounds with 460 pounds total lifted, Mylee Bruce was third at 143 pounds with 450 pounds total lifted and Maddison Douglass was fourth at 168 pounds with a total of 545 pounds lifted.

The Lady Pirates will return to action in today’s Iron Hog Classic, which will begin at 9 a.m. in Panama.
