Funeral services for Gary Lee Morris, 71, of Gore, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory- Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Morris was born on Dec. 20, 1954, in Phoenix to Leo Sonny Morris and Mary Ima Laverne (Harp) Morris. He died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, in Muskogee.
He worked in masonry and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married Mae Jean Morris on Jan. 25, 1974, in Vian. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2011.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Morris of Gore; three sisters, Angelia Chitty and Marilyn and Ralph James, all of Gore, and Terry and Larry Kash of Porum; half-sister, Lorrie and Justin Dyer of Tahlequah; brother, Roger and Sandra Morris of Gore; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Morris; sister, Sandra Morris; brother, Jimmie Morris; and brother-in-law, Casey Chitty.
Pallbearers were Luke Morris, Josh Chitty, Adam Dozier, Ethan James, Rock Morris and Owen James.
