Catherine “Cathy” Collins, 72, of Sallisaw, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born on Oct. 14, 1953, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Freda Louise (Tyler) Long and Beldon Long.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She married David Lynn Collins on June 12, 1975, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2009.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and fishing, and she was known for her caring heart and willingness to assist others.
Survivors include her partner, Aaron Slate of Sallisaw; four daughters, Karen Howard and Charles of Gans, Barbara Poor and husband Chad of Sallisaw, Margie Collins of Van Buren, Ark., and Heather Collins of South Dakota; two sons, Dawson Collins and wife Kelli of Oklahoma City and Christopher Collins of Tulsa; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Scrivner, Tracy McNew and Kathy Moss; two brothers, Mike Champion and Jerry Champion; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Patricia Ann Grady.
