Funeral services for Helen Christenberry, 60, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial followed at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Services Inc.
She was born on May 20, 1965, in Sallisaw to Rachael Marie (Brasher) Barker and Henry Leon Barker. She passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
She married Wesley Carlton Christenberry on June 25, 1990.
For 15 years, she prepared meals for students at Sallisaw High School. She enjoyed fishing and creating tumbler cups.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley of the home; son, Mathew Christenberry and Chelsea of Stilwell; two grandchildren; her mother, of Sallisaw; two sisters, Mary Barker of Sallisaw and Polly Frey and James of Sallisaw; one brother, Jimmie Barker and Sandy of Sallisaw; three step-children, Patrisha Bates of Plainville, Ark., Shawn Christenberry and Melissa of Fort Smith, Ark., and Brian Walton and Rachel of Fort Smith; 16 step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Kathy Barker; and nephew, Little Henry Barker.
Pallbearers were Wayne Wilson, Johnny Brasher, David Brasher, Zack Barker, Cory Barker and Brody Wood.
Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Frey, Jim Frey and Clyde Osborn.
