Iris M. Proctor

June 29, 1943 – Feb. 25, 2026

Iris M. Proctor, 82, of Princeton, Ky., formerly of Sallisaw, Okla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Ky. She was born on June 29, 1943, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Bedford Ray and Ruby Lena Fazier Manly.

Burial will be held in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburn, Texas, at a later date, under the direction of Morgan’s Funeral Home.

She was a resident of Sallisaw for 60 years, and worked hanging wallpaper for 47 years. She was of the Assembly of God faith. She enjoyed horseback riding, cooking and canning vegetables she grew, reading, sewing and embroidering.

Survivors include four daughters, Jo Anna (Kenny) Cox of Broken Arrow, Leslie (Dr. James) Rushing of Princeton, Lorinda Faye (Charlie) Hernandez of Clarksville, Tenn., and Darla Jo (Joe) Morgan of Sallisaw; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Merel Gordan; four brothers, Charles R., Leslie R., Frank R., and Johnny R. Manly; and one grandson.
