Johnny Teehee III to be US Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — US Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today issued the following statement of support for President Trump’s nomination of Johnny Teehee III to serve as United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

“Johnny Teehee’s life reflects perseverance, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to serving others,” said Lankford. “After over three decades of protecting families in Muskogee, leading efforts to combat child abuse, and investing in the next generation through coaching and community service, Teehee brings the experience and character needed to serve Oklahoma well. I’m grateful he is willing to step forward to continue serving our state.”

Background

Johnny Teehee has spent more than 35 years serving the Muskogee community in law enforcement, rising through the ranks of the Muskogee Police Department before being named Chief of Police in 2018. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, he has been recognized nationally for his work in child abuse investigations and helped establish Kids Space, a child advocacy center for abused children in Muskogee. In addition to his law enforcement service, Teehee has been active in the community through business, civic leadership, and organizations supporting addiction recovery and mental health. He and his wife Kim have six children and are longtime members of First Baptist Church of Muskogee.
