Former Vian pitcher sees action against Eastern

WILBURTON — Former Vian Wolverines pitcher Diego Ramos got the start for the Connors State College Cowboys in last Saturday’s opener against the host Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers.

Ramos (3-1) ended up suffering his first loss of the season as the Cowboys fell 7-3 to the Mountaineers. He pitched the first 1.1 innings with a strikeout.

The Cowboys (23-5, 6-3 in conference play) were slated to return to action Tuesday afternoon against Redlands Community College in El Reno before playing a three-game series against Seminole State College — at 2 p.m. Thursday in Warner and a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday in Seminole.
