In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) – Akins group member Pat Taylor delivered a fun, interactive lesson on dental hygiene to Vian Elementary Kindergarteners.

She also gifted each student with their very own Tooth Fairy pillow, toothbrush and toothpaste.

Mrs. Taylor, along with fellow OHCE members, handmakes the charming Tooth Fairy pillows throughout the year in preparation for February, which marks the American Dental Association’s annual campaign promoting children’s dental health.

This beloved OHCE tradition has continued for 25 years in schools across Sequoyah County.

This year alone, Mrs. Taylor and other OHCE members distributed more than 200 Tooth Fairy pillows to local Kindergarten students.
