Jerie Kaye Leep, 59, of Vian, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Vian. She was born on Dec. 27, 1966, in Sallisaw to Vernon Arthur Leep and Audrey Ann (Horn) Leep.

No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

She attended Vian High School and earned an English degree from the University of Oklahoma. She joined the Peace Corps and taught English in the Marshall Islands for several years. She also taught English and history at Gallup, N.M., for several years.

Survivors include one sister, Verna Leep; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
