Gore, Webbers Falls track athletes compete in Wilburton Invitational

WILBURTON — The Gore and Webbers Falls high school track athletes got their 2026 seasons underway last Thursday by participating in the Wilburton Invitational.

For the Pirates, Devon Mannon won the 300-meter hurdles (42.21 seconds) while he was second (16.36) in the 110-meter hurdles and runner-up in the 100-meter dash (11.81).

Zac Comer was runner- up in both the shot put (41-7) and the discus (142-3), Trenton Cunningham was was third in the 110-meter hurdles (16.44 seconds) and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (44.56), Cain Cooper was fourth (2:24.29) in the 800-meter run.

As for other Pirates, Nick Eklund was fifth (25.49 seconds), Cole Brooksher was ninth (26 seconds flat) and Gabe Hefley was 16th (26.47) in the 200-meter dash, Marcus Scott was sixth (101-2), Maden Smith was 12th (81-2), Jaydan Gates was 20th (72-1) and Antonio Parker was 23rd (69-1) in the discus, Treydan Daugherty was sixth (36-5), Jaydan Gates was 17th (33-5), Smith was 21st (33-0) and Scott was 33rd (29-11) in the shot put, Eklund was seventh (12.13 seconds), Brooksher was 12th (12.36) and Treydan Daugherty was 42nd (13.73) in the 100-meter dash, Benson Hunt was 10th in the 1,600-meter run (6:09.5), Hefley was 14th (1:01.08), Clayton White was 20th (1:03.24), Grant Davis was 23rd (1:04.55) in the 400-meter dash and Luke Wisdom was 21st (2:40.89), Hunt was 34th (2:49.39), Davis was 36th (2:49.81) and White was 38th (2:52.29) in the 800-meter run.

The 3,200-meter relay team of Cooper, Hefley, Wisdom and White was third (10:04.26), while Brooksher, Eklund, Mannon and Cunningham were fourth in the 800-meter relay (1:37.54).

For the Lady Pirates, Alevia Reasnor was fourth in the discus (8810) and sixth in the shot put (30-6), while Amelia White was sixth in the 200-meter dash (30.25 seconds).

As for other Lady Pirates, White was ninth (1:10.85) and Gracie Bruce was 22nd (1:19.12) in the 400-meter dash, Rayleigh Moore was 11th in the 800-meter run (3:07.47), Mylee Bruce was 12th in the 100-meter hurdles (20.97 seconds) and 12th in the 300-meter hurdles(1:04.76), Moore was 15th (32.75) and Gracie Bruce was 18th (33.43) in the 200-meter dash, Gracie Bruce was 22nd (15.02) and Sophie O’Connor was 29th (15.71) in the 100-meter dash, Maddison Douglass was 16th (26-10), Kylie “K.J.” McEver was 23rd (24-3), Katlyn West was 34th (19-0) and Bailey Pack was 37th (16-4) in the shot put and Douglass was 23rd (50-3), Pack was 26th (41-2) and West was 29th (35-11) in the discus.

As for relays for the Lady Pirates, Douglass, McEver, Jemma Peevy and O’Connor were ninth in the 800-meter relay (2:18.08).

The Lady Pirates tied Porum for 17th in team standings with six points.

The Lady Warriors were 11th in team standings with 19 points.

In the girls’ high jump, Allie Patterson was third (4-6) and Abbie Patterson was sixth (4-2) for the Lady Warriors.

As for other Lady Warriors’ results, Allie Patterson was eighth in the 100-meter dash (20.27 seconds), Peyton Shanks was 21st (3:44.55), River Qualls was 23rd (3:49.35) and Abbie Patterson was 25th (3:59.72) in the 800-meter run, Abbie Patterson was 22nd in the 200-meter dash (35.15) and Hailey Shanks was 28th in the discus (37-10) and 33rd in the shot put (19-3).

As for relays for the Lady Warriors, Kimberlee Rolston, Madi Smith, Hannah Kay Mason and Allie Patterson were third in the 3,200-meter relay (13:37.15).

The Warriors did not score any points in the meet.

Chevy Cole was 10th in the shot put (34-9) and 19th in the discus (72-7), Colton Lester was 13th (26.22 seconds), Joseph Moore was 44th (32.38) and Ryker Gilley was 46th (36.43) in the 200-meter dash, Cason Newcomer was 28th (2:47.76) and Moore was 30th (2:48.4) in the 800-meter run, Newcomer was 28th (1:06.9) and Lester was 43rd (1:20.08) in the 400-meter dash, Gilley was 44th in the 800-meter run (3:12.69) and River Turley was 53rd in the 100-meter dash (15.58).

The Webbers Falls foursome of Newcomer, Cole, Turley and Lester was ninth in the 800-meter relay (1:57.88).
