Charles Wayne Roberts

June 25, 1961 — April 3, 2026

La., to Joseph Curly Roberts and Minerva Marie (Green) Roberts. He passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

He was a 1979 graduate of Sallisaw Public Schools. He worked at Cititrends and attended Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. He started his ministry at the age of 33. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and serving the Lord.

He married Angelic Roberts on March 12, 2016. Survivors include his wife, Angelic of Sallisaw; six children, Julia Kilpatrick of Fort Smith, Ark., Josh and Kieosha Roberts of North Richland Hills, Texas, Isaiah Scott of Duncanville, Texas, Lyric and Russell Stillwell of Sallisaw, Kassandra Briggs of Sallisaw, and David Briggs, Jr. of Sallisaw; mother, Minerva Roberts of Sallisaw; sister, Patsy and Tommy Gibbs of Sallisaw; two brothers, Dennis Roberts of Temple, Ariz., and Patrick and Paige Roberts of Chandler, Ariz.; several grandchildren and one on the way; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Stephanie Ann Roberts-Thomas; mother-in-law, Mary Flores; paternal and maternal grandparents; and nephew, Cleonis Dean, Jr.

Pallbearers were Sallisaw’s Class of 1979 and the Deacons of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church.

Flower bearers were Sis. Lori, Sis. Florence, Sis. Sherry, Sis. Jamie, Sis. Everma, and Sis. Gail.

Junior flower bears were Jurnee, Melaysia and Elvie Mae.

Funeral services for Charles Wayne Roberts, 64, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Roberts was born on June 25, 1961, in Lafayette,
