OBU Bison win series over ATU after suffering losses to NSU

Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison softball team won two of three road games against Arkansas Tech University last weekend in Russellville, Ark. The Bison took last Friday doubleheader by scores of 2-0 and 3-2 before losing last Saturday’s series finale 4-3.

In Friday’s opener, Wells doubled and scored once, while going hitless in three at-bats in the nightcap. On Saturday, Wells doubled with a run scored.

The ATU series win came on the heels of two road losses against Northeastern State University on April 14 in Tahlequah by scores of 5-1 and 5-4.

In Game 1, Wells was walked three times but had a run batted in, while being walked three times in Game 2.

The Bison (36-11) will be idle until next weekend when they will play a three-game road series against Southern Nazarene University in Bethany. There will a single game at 4 p.m. Friday and a 1 p.m. Saturday doubleheader.
