Gary F. Jackson, 73, died on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023. He was born in Bakersfield, Calif., on March 5, 1950, to Ima Dee and James Foster Jackson.

He attended high school in Sallisaw and joined the U. S. Air Force in 1968, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he reached the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He became a Construction Manager and owned his own construction company for a time, received his Bachelor of Arts degree and his Teaching Credential in Industrial Arts. He then received his Administrative Service credential and finished out his 25-year career as a High School Vice-Principal and Career Technical Education Manager.

He married Linda Jackson on July 21, 2020, in Sallisaw.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Cari, William and Jeremy and their spouses; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Christina Jackson; son, Gary A. Jackson; parents; and sister, Gloria J. Jackson.

Pallbearers were his grandsons. Honorary pallbearer was Tommy Petree. Services were under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc.
