Vian High School’s Band of Gold has been hired to help at Simple Simon’s Pizza in Vian on Saturday, March 9, with proceeds from the day’s sales going toward helping the band pay for fees for upcoming events.
Simple Simon’s Pizza owner Destiny Everett, who is a band alumni, said she is asking everyone to come out and support the band during the fundraiser.
“The band students will be helping throughout the day and proceeds from the day’s sales will go to help pay for their fees for their upcoming events,” Everett said. “So far, our band and members have participated in various school events, as well as contests, college band days and honor bands.
The next few months will also be active for band members as they compete in concert and solo contests, and perform pre-game for an Arkansas Naturals baseball game.
The band is also excited to have an opportunity to perform in Branson, Mo. this year as their final contest.
“We look forward to seeing you on March 9 as we support our Sound Of V-Town, the Vian High School Band!” Everett said. “We will also have a donation jar out if you’d like to donate.”
