Vian and Marble City to hold June fireworks displays

Vian’s Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on Sunday, June 30.

“The Boys and Girls of Summer” parade will start at 7:45 p.m. with all baseball and softball teams, and their coaches, invited to participate.

The Vian Community Foundation will then announce and present their annual Favorite Sons and Daughters awards, with the fireworks show starting at dark.

Marble City’s annual “Fireworks and Freedom” celebration will be held on Saturday, June 29, in the downtown area.

There will be food vendors on hand selling their goods and live music starts at 6:30 p.m. along with face painting, inflatables and a kid zone. A veterans ceremony will start at 7 p.m. followed by a fireworks display at dark.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
