Memorial service for Melba (Miller) Trueblood, 72, of Marble City, was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Trueblood was born on Oct. 21, 1952, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Emma Dell (Essary) Miller and Homer Miller. She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, in Fort Smith.
She was a registered nurse who enjoyed reading, riding horses, and cooking.
She married James Alan Trueblood on June 14, 1969, in Marble City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2010.
Survivors are a son, Darin Trueblood of Marble City; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Strong and Buddy of Roland; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Evelyn Marie Turnman and Wilma June McClure; and three brothers, Bud Miller, Earvil Miller and Herbert Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were Darik Trueblood, Kaleb Trueblood, Mike Ellis, and Charlie Miller.
