Preston Paul Poteete, 62, passed away on Feb. 22, 2025. He was born on April 15, 1962, in Killeen, Texas, to Jack Everett and Dolly Poteete. Mr. Poteete was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a crash firefighter stationed at Hahn Air Force base in Germany. His service spanned from 1982-88. In 1988, he went to work with the state of Oklahoma as a surveyor. In 1995, he moved to Arizona and ran a construction company.
He loved to travel and be with friends and family. A consummate jokester, there was never a dull moment when he was around.
Survivors are his daughters, Cyndi Hunter (Tyson Painter) and Brittany Reyes (Ace Anaya); mother, Dolly Poteete of Vian; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; aunt and uncle, Ruby Pigeon and Raymond of Vian; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Jackie D. Poteete; and numerous aunts and uncles.
