Larry Dale Pate, 83, was born on July 16, 1941, in Searcy, Ark., to Ester (Lindsey) Pate and Arnold Oliver Pate. He passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Vian.

No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. in Sallisaw.

Mr. Pate was a “jackof- all-trades,” working July 16, 1941 – April 8, 2025

as a self-taught electrician, plumber, welder, mechanic and construction worker.

Survivors are seven children, Steve, Sandy, Johnny, Becky, Cheryl, Pam and Mar; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Steve Pate and Johnny Pate; one daughter, Sandy Pate; and several siblings.
