During a brief special meeting on June 10, the Gore Board of Trustees unanimously approved the town’s operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year and voted to hire a part-time employee.
The meeting opened with a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2025–26 budget. No members of the public offered comments, and there were no speakers during the public speaking portion of the agenda.
Following the hearing, the board voted to unanimously Resolution No. 06-10-2025-1, formally approving the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Next, the board voted to enter into an executive session under provisions of Oklahoma law to discuss personnel matters related to Randy Taylor. Gore Police Chief Tracy Christenberry and Town Clerk Lisa Settlemyre were invited to participate in the closed-door session.
Upon reconvening just minutes later, the board unanimously approved the hiring of Taylor as a part-time employee at a rate of $19 per hour.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
