TULSA — The Vian Wrestling Club saw 11 members qualify for the 2026 Oklahoma Wrestling Association (OKWA) State Tournament, which will be next Saturday at O.G.&E. Pavilion, a.k.a. “The ‘New’ Big House.”
At last Saturday’s OKWA Southeast Regional Tournament at Tulsa McLain High School, Joely Hunt was the regional champion at 105 pounds in the girls age 12-and-younger division.
Jestin Rosson (age 12-and-younger division, 80 pounds), Daxton Stewart (age 12-andyounger division, 92), Bronc Sumpter (age 12-and-younger division, 100) and Ike Payne (age 15-and-younger division, 80) were all regional runners-up.
Parker Mabe was third at 70 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division, while Madalynn Turman was fourth at 105 pounds in the girls age 10-and-younger division.
Creede Prier (age 12-and-younger division, 88 pounds), Rocky Ford (age 12-and-younger division, 110 pounds) and Leila Cheater (girls age 15-and-younger division) all were fifth, while Klasen Couch was sixth at 67 pounds in the age 8-and-younger division.
