Former Vian pitcher sees action for Connors State against CASC

Former Vian Wolverines baseball player Diego Ramos saw action in last weekend’s series against Carl Albert.

In an 18-11 victory over the Vikings last Thursday at Mark Pollard Park at Ival Goodman Field, Ramos got the start on the mound and went the first 4.1 innings with five strikeouts but got a no-decision.

The Cowboys (15-2), who won the series 2 games to 1 with a 19-5 rout of the Vikings on Saturday in Poteau after losing 3-2 to the Vikings on Friday in Warner, were slated to meet Arkansas State University- Mountain Home on Monday in Rogers, Ark., before entering a threegame series to end the week with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where there will be a single game at 1 p.m. in Miami and a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday in Warner.
