Diabetes Education Series Offered

The Sequoyah County Health Department is offering a Diabetes Education Series conversation and education program from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 23 and 30, at the health department, located at 612 N. Oak Street in Sallisaw.

Explore what diabetes is, the relationship between food and diabetes, how to better monitor and understand their blood glucose results, and discuss the effects of diabetes over time. Goal setting and assignment activities will keep participants engaged between sessions and beyond.

Anyone affected by or at risk for diabetes is welcome to attend. For more info, call 539230-4256 or email Kassandra. briggs@health. ok.gov.
