The Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings softball team went 3-3 last week.

The Lady Vikings suffered a home sweep at the hands of Connors State College on March 10 in Poteau by scores of 9-1 in five innings and 10-4.

Last Friday afternoon, the Lady Vikings swept a home twinbill from Arkansas State University- Mid South by scores of 7-4 and 5-0.

Last Saturday afternoon, the Lady Vikings split their home doubleheader with Arkansas State University-Newport as they took the nightcap 6-5 after losing the opener 6-4.

Against Connors State, former Vian Lady Wolverine Kala Gibbins singled, while she did not play in the nightcap.

In Game 1 against ASU-Mid South, Gibbins was hitless in four at-bats, while having two at-bats without a hit in Game 2.

In the opener against ASU-Newport, Gibbins went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run batted in, while going hitless in three trips to the plate in the nightcap.

After the Lady Vikings (8-10) played a road doubleheader against Northeast Texas Community College on Monday afternoon in Mount Pleasant, Texas, they will play two more road twinbills this week — at 1 p.m. Friday at Southeast Arkansas and at 1 p.m. Saturday at Southern Arkansas University Tech — before traveling to face archrival Eastern Oklahoma State College and Gibbins’ former teammate Maisie Wells in a 1 p.m. twinbill next Tuesday in Wilburton.
