Last weekend, the Bison swept a three-game homes series from Henderson State University, taking Friday’s game 9-0 before sweeping Saturday’s doubleheader by scores of 6-5 and 5-3.
In Game 1 against Cameron, former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells was hitless in two at-bats but did have two runs batted in, while she hit her 15th homer of the season, a grand-slam homer in the fourth inning, and scored twice.
In Friday’s win over Henderson State, Wells went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
In Saturday’s opener against Henderson State, Wells was hitless in three at-bats, while hitting a double and scoring a run in the nightcap.
The Bison (25-3) will return to action with a road doubleheader against Texas Women’s University at 3 this afternoon in Denton, Texas, before a threegame road series against Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where there will be a single game at 4 p.m. Friday and a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
