The Sooner Stars & Stripes QOV Volunteers of Sequoyah County hosted a Quilt of Valor presentation on February 10 at the new Veterans Home, located at 2343 S. Kerr Blvd. in Sallisaw. Ten local veterans were each recognized and awarded a Quilt of Valor for their military service to our country. Family, friends and staff of the Veterans Center were present to witness the ceremony. Veterans honored (in no particular order) were Jimmie Billings, OB Brewer, George Chester, Doyle Lee, Danny Fitzwilliam, Alfred Holden, Gary Moore, Jimmy Owens, James Ridenour and Don Van Campen.
