Vian Lady Wolverines suffer losses to Cameron, Porum

CAMERON — The Vian Lady Wolverines suffered a pair of losses on March 9, losing to the host Cameron Lady Yellowjackets 5-4 and falling 5-1 to Porum.

The Lady Wolverines (1-2) suffered their first losses of the season as the Lady Yellowjackets walked it off with a tworun seventh inning.

In defeat, Kaidence Roark was 3-for-3 with a run scored, Halli Russell was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Scarlett Fields was 2-for-4 for Vian.

In the loss to Porum, the Lady Panthers scored once in the first inning and four runs in the fourth inning for a 5-0 lead. Vian scored once in the sixth inning but got no closer.

In defeat, Russell was 2-for-3 with a double, Tressa Sandlin was 2-for-3 and Eden Girty was 2-for-3 for Vian. Girty took the loss.

The Lady Wolverines had their road game last Thursday at Warner canceled.
