Vian wins EOSC FFA soil and water career development event

Members of the Vian FFA won first place in the Eastern Oklahoma State College soil and water career development event on March 27.

Team members were Halli Russell, Gabriel Wilson and Max Ross. Russell, Wilson and Ross received second-, third- and fifth-place individual honors, respectively.

Silo and Gans earned second- and third-place honors, respectively. The top 10 individuals were Russell, Wilson, Ross, Olen Beaver (Silo), Thomas Drew (Vian), Sean Arterberry (Silo), Olivia Clark (Silo), James Sandefur (Gans), Logan Spaulding (Silo) and Landon Butler.

The 2026 EOSC FFA interscholastics event was held on the college’s Wilburton campus and hosted more than 2,000 students from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Colorado.
