Sallisaw – Funeral service for Jack Copeland II, 47, of Sallisaw, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
Mr. Copeland was born July 31, 1975, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Jackie Dewayne Copeland and Kathy Darlene (Smithpeters) Copeland. He died April 28, 2023, in Tulsa.
He married Christina (Owens) Copeland on Feb. 25, 1995, in Pocola.
He loved his job as a parts specialist at O’Reilly’s where he’d worked for 10 years. He also made many friends while working at Whirlpool from 1998 until 2009. Working on his truck was his passion.
Survivors are his wife, Christina of the home; two sons, Braiden Copeland and Breana Cox of Sallisaw and Cameron Copeland of the home; his parents of Sallisaw; one brother, Dr. Kristopher Copeland and Ranee of Broken Arrow; maternal grandmother, Viola Smithpeters of Sallisaw; one brother-in-law, Gerald Owens and Belinda of Fort Smith; in-laws, Cleta and Jerry Owens of Spiro; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Esther Copeland Smith; and grandfather, L.L. Smithpeters.
Pallbearers will be Danny Drake, Gary Sharp, Ryan Copeland, Gerald Owens, Shane Owens and Bob Evans.
Honorary pallbearers will be staff of O’Reilly’s in Sallisaw.
