The Vian Police Department wishes to congratulate the Autumn Owens crew (shown above) for finding the department’s hidden rock during the April 11 rock hunt, sponsored by the Children’s Savehaven Advocacy Center and Sequoyah County MDT (Child Abuse Task Force). The hunt was held in conjunction with Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is recognized in April. Vian Police Chief Mark Harkins said the department looks forward to working with the amazing folks with Child Advocacy, which sponsors the annual event. The event was sponsored by Arvest Bank, Firstar Bank, Roland Subway, Affordable Auto Care, Muldrow Laundry, FRC (Family Resource Connections), Sallisaw Fraternal Order of Police, and National Bank of Sallisaw.
